Wameed had payroll’s inputs — attendance, commissions, hourly rates — and no payroll. Now there is a salary structure per employee, GOSI computed from the KSA contribution matrix, monthly runs moving draft → approved → paid, and the Wage Protection System bank file ready to download.

What this covers
- A salary structure per employee — basic, housing, transport, itemised other allowances, nationality, GOSI applicability and IBAN
- An optional overtime hourly rate and multiplier per employee
- GOSI calculation — 9.75% employee and 11.75% employer for Saudis, 2% employer only for non-Saudis, on basic plus housing, clamped between SAR 400 and 45,000
- The contribution rates are configuration constants, never hard-coded — they change when the regulation does
- A monthly run — the fixed package from the structure, overtime from the attendance records, commission from the commission ledger
- Manual deductions per line, and a draft → approved → paid path
- The WPS SIF file — EDR rows with the trailing SCR control record, downloadable once the run is approved
- Payslips — a full per-line breakdown of earnings, deductions and net
- The payroll journal — approving posts Payroll and GOSI Expense against GOSI Payable, Deductions Payable and Wages Payable; marking paid settles Wages Payable against Bank
Payroll is enterprise-only, deliberately: a wrong SIF file is a bank rejection and a labour-ministry problem, and the file carries staff IBANs and national IDs. A single-branch store is served by the accounting tier alone.
