General ledger

Real double-entry, posted from yesterday’s sales on its own

Wameed used only to export accounting data; now it keeps the books. A bilingual chart of roughly 31 system accounts per store, provisioned on first touch with KSA retail and F&B defaults. Journals are double-entry and balanced at the service layer, and a posted entry is immutable — the only correction is a reversal.

From the Professional plan up

What this covers

  • A chart of accounts — around 31 bilingual system accounts per store (Cash, Card Clearing, VAT Output and Input, Sales Revenue, COGS, Inventory, Payroll Expense, GOSI Payable…)
  • Custom accounts alongside the system ones; the system rows are locked because the auto-posting mappers address them by key
  • Double-entry journals balanced to the halala — an unbalanced entry is refused with a translated message
  • A sequential entry number per store; draft → posted, and posted is immutable
  • Auto-posting — a nightly command turns yesterday’s documents into posted entries: the daily sales summary, expenses, confirmed goods receipts, inventory adjustments and waste
  • Auto-posting is idempotent — once per store, source and day
  • A trial balance as of any date, which must balance
  • An account ledger, date-ranged, with a running balance
  • A VAT return — output VAT from the same fields the ZATCA invoices are built from
  • Live sync to Qoyod — every posted entry pushes as a provider journal entry, with a per-entry push ledger and a nightly sweep for anything missed
  • The books are per store — a branch’s books are its own and its numbering is its own sequence; org-level reports consolidate by account code
