Pay at table, online ordering & kiosk

Three ways a customer pays without a cashier taking their card

Three channels where the customer pays themselves, all settling into the store’s own EdfaPay merchant account and sharing one gateway, one settlement path and one refund path. The kiosk is deliberately not built on the public storefront: it is the store’s own machine in the store’s own lobby, so it keeps working whether or not the branch publishes an online storefront, and it reads the same catalogue the till does.

From the Professional plan up

What this covers

  • Pay at table — the diner pays from their own phone through a QR on the table carrying a 48-character token; no storefront needed
  • Pay at table supports splitting the bill and adding a tip before confirming
  • Online ordering — a public storefront at the store’s own slug, opened from the shopper’s phone or computer
  • The storefront reads the same catalogue and the same scheduled menus, and respects the delivery zones and their fees
  • The storefront enforces each zone’s minimum order, and refuses an address outside every zone with a translated message
  • Order tracking through a private link handed to the customer when they order
  • A self-service kiosk — on the store’s own signed-in hardware, in its own lobby
  • The kiosk reads the same catalogue the till reads — there is no second catalogue to keep updated
  • All three settle into the same merchant account, with one refund path
  • A standalone payment link that can be sent to a remote customer

Where this stops

  • The storefront runs at the store’s own slug on a Wameed domain. There is no fully white-labelled ordering site on your own domain today.

We write this here because finding it out during implementation is far worse than reading it now.
