Payments from the customer’s own device

Settles straight into the store’s own merchant account — Wameed never holds your money

Accepts card payment from the customer’s own device — an online order, a kiosk, a QR pay-at-table page, a payment link — and settles it into the store’s own EdfaPay merchant account. That distinction matters: Wameed never takes custody of your funds and is not a payment institution; its income is the revenue share only.

Saudi Arabia

What this covers

  • Hosted checkout — opens an EdfaPay session and returns the shopper a redirect link
  • Per-store credentials — each branch charges through its own merchant account, encrypted at rest
  • Signed webhooks — settlement notifications carry an HMAC-SHA256 signature, verified before anything moves
  • Status polling — the truth is re-read from EdfaPay rather than trusted from a browser
  • Refunds, full or partial, back to the original card, with an over-refund guard
  • The revenue share is computed per charge, and volume counts toward the SoftPOS free-subscription threshold
  • A settled charge becomes an ordinary payment row, so receipts, the Z report and the financial reports see it like any other tender
  • SoftPOS — tap a card straight onto the phone, with no separate terminal
  • Buy-now-pay-later through the connected installment providers

Where this stops

  • The customer-payment rail (EdfaPay) and the subscription-billing rail (PayTabs) are completely separate. Your Wameed subscription is collected through PayTabs; your sales settle through EdfaPay into your own account. The two never meet.

We write this here because finding it out during implementation is far worse than reading it now.
