The till

A complete sale with no internet — ZATCA signing and printing included

The till is the screen your staff spend most of the day on: scanning products, building a cart, taking payment, printing a receipt and issuing a ZATCA-compliant e-invoice. All of it is offline-first — a cashier can complete a full sale, print a signed receipt and pop the cash drawer with the internet completely down.

What this covers

  • Product lookup by barcode scan (USB HID), by name or SKU, and by tapping the category grid
  • Weighable items — reads the weight from an RS-232 / USB scale and prices by weight
  • Cart management — add, change quantity, remove, discount per item or per cart, notes on any line
  • Open tickets and tabs — keep an order open and add to it over time (dine-in, bar tab)
  • Hold and recall — park the current cart and pick it up later, or on another register
  • Payment in cash with change calculated, by card through the terminal, or split across two or more tenders
  • Optional tip entry on the payment screen, switchable per business type
  • Cash drawer management — opening float, mid-shift drops, close-of-shift count and the Z report
  • Discounts by percentage or amount, per item or per cart, with a manager PIN once the cashier’s threshold is passed
  • Void and return — full or partial, with or without a receipt, and exchange as one transaction (return plus new sale)
  • Refunds to the original payment method — cash back, or a card reversal
  • Tax-exempt toggle — requires the customer’s tax ID or exemption certificate, and drops VAT from the sale
  • Age verification on restricted products (tobacco, pharmacy lines), configurable per product
  • Attach a customer to the sale for loyalty points, receipt delivery and purchase history
  • ZATCA Phase 2 — every completed sale produces a signed e-invoice with a compliant QR code
  • Offline ZATCA signing — B2C invoices are signed locally within the 24-hour tolerance; B2B invoices queue until you are back online
  • Receipts — thermal ESC/POS print, or digital delivery over WhatsApp, SMS or email
  • Customer-facing display — a second screen showing item-by-item totals and the QR code

Most systems say “works offline” and mean they save the sale to send later. Wameed signs the ZATCA invoice locally on the device and prints it — so the receipt that comes out during an outage is a complete legal invoice, not a placeholder.
