Rewaa alternatives in Saudi Arabia: what to move to, and why

Most merchants looking past Rewaa want one of three things: hospitality features, offline selling, or freedom from a two-year hardware commitment. Each points somewhere different.

Rewaa is a good retail system. Merchants who look elsewhere usually do so for one of three specific reasons, and each of them narrows the field quickly.

Audit date: August 2026, researched from public sources.

Reason 1: you added seating or a kitchen

Rewaa has no table management and no kitchen display. A shop that adds a café corner discovers this immediately.

Move to: Wameed. Floor plan with zones and timers, KDS with station routing and course firing, split checks by item, equal or custom, plus split tender — while keeping full retail inventory, purchase orders, goods receipt, transfers, multi-warehouse and supplier returns.

Or: Foodics, if you are willing to pay roughly 2.5× the subscription and give up supply chain.

Reason 2: you need to sell during an outage

Per the audit Rewaa is not offline-capable. Of the eleven systems we track, onlyWameed,Foodics andRevel are.

Only Wameed signs the ZATCA invoice on the device for 24 hours disconnected, in the browser cashier as well as the native app. For a shop on consumer fibre, this is usually the reason that decides it.

Reason 3: the two-year hardware commitment

Rewaa's free-device-on-a-two-year-plan is a real saving and a real commitment. If what you actually want is no commitment attached to the device:

Wameed — the Landi C20 Pro comes free with the subscription and goes back if you leave, with no minimum term and no exit charge. The software also runs on Windows, macOS, the browser and rugged PDAs, so a failed terminal does not stop the day — and if you would rather own your hardware outright, buy any device that meets the spec and keep it.

What else you would gain

Comparing Wameed against Rewaa specifically, per the audit, Wameed adds: table management, timed events such as happy hour, coupons, gift cards, promotions with BOGO and bundles, split checks, delivery aggregator integration across ten platforms, business intelligence with forecasting and anomaly detection, kitchen management, labour management, industry modes for pharmacy, jewellery, electronics, florist and bakery, cashier languages in Urdu, Bengali and Pashto, and full offline mode.

Rewaa's own strengths — a deep retail inventory reputation, loyalty, digital receipts, a payment solution and the hardware bundle — are real, and for a pure retail shop with reliable internet the comparison is genuinely close.

What none of these alternatives fixes

If your problem with Rewaa is that you want kiosks, multi-brand management, drive-thru or a white-label ordering site, none of Wameed, Marn, Geidea or Hala solves it either. That list points atFoodics,NCR orOracle, at a considerably higher cost.

Migration notes for retail

Retail migrations are harder than hospitality migrations because of the catalogue. Plan for:

  • Catalogue export and clean-up. This is the real work. Duplicate SKUs, inconsistent units and orphaned variants surface now.
  • A full stock count on switchover day. The opening balance in the new system should be counted, not carried over.
  • Barcode label re-print only if your label format changes — check first.
  • Supplier records and open purchase orders — decide whether to close them in the old system or re-raise them in the new one.
  • ZATCA re-onboarding with new device credentials.

Give it a quiet week, not a weekend.

The short answer

Adding food service, or need offline, or want to own the hardware →Wameed. Need kiosks or multi-brand →Foodics. Pure retail, reliable internet, happy with the bundle → staying is a defensible choice.
